It was the best of times, it was the worst of times

Sorry, this blog has nothing to do with CD’s ‘Tales of two cites’….Apart from being based in London but it’s all I could think of tonight that mentioned time, & since I went the Greenwich on Sunday I though a title incorporating time was important.
So Greenwich…Cool suburbs, could see myself living there, wicked shops & pubs, bad ass markets & massive outdoor areas to lounge in come summer…yeah I could defiantly do that.
Sunday was really nice & sunny so since we’re heading into winter I thought it wise to get out & about. Plus I had been up since 5am watching Michael fall out of contention in the F1 champs (That’s all I’ve gota say about that (For now)). So I rounded up Craig who's now back in Blighty & off we tootled.First stop the ‘Cutty Sark’. Legand (or the information board) says that it was the fastest ship in her day traveling 360 nautical miles in 24 hours…Not being a sailing man I have no idea if that’s impressive. That’s pretty much how I felt about the ship in general…Looks nice but is just a boat.

Then we wondered through the University of Greenwich (Very cool) checking out the dope old buildings & views over the river to Canary Wharf & the Millennium Dome (Probably the ugliest building I’ve seen) we stumbled upon a musket display. The funny thing was, half way through the display Craig pointed out a doddery old lady happily watching the display….From the sharp end of the firing range. Granted they were only shooting powder but in the land of health & safety managing to put one's self in such danger is quite a feat.
We then started wandering up the hill to the observatory stopping off to ogle the Harrier Jump Jet sitting outside the National Maritime Museum. At the top of the hill we sat & checked out London ….well north east London anyway. The Millennium Dome is just to the right of this picture & London City is a ways to the left.
Then it was off the the pub....s
